The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says the forthcoming general elections are for the young people in Nigeria.
The chairman of the commission, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu said this while appearing before the Chattam house in London on Tuesday.
Giving a breakdown of voter registration and collection of Permanent Voter’s Cards in Nigeria, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu said records show that the election would be dominated by Nigerian youth.
The INEC boss further said that the electoral umpire is resolute in conducting free, fair, and credible elections in February and March.
Professor Mahmoud Yakubu added that INEC has developed technology that will aid voters’ registration.
