… I Don’t Know Tinubu’s Whereabouts, Says Oshiomhole
EXCLUSIVE By 9NEWS NIGERIA : The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, will miss the signing of the 2023 election peace pact on Thursday, 9news Nigeria can authoritatively report.
Tinubu, who is currently in the United Kingdom, will not be around for the signing of the pact organised by the National Peace Committee (NPC), chaired by a former military Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar.
He will be represented by his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
There are unconfirmed reports that Tinubu is sick and currently receiving treatment in the United Kingdom.
Meanwhile, a Deputy Director of the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole on Wednesday said he is not aware if his party’s presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in Nigeria.
“I don’t report to him everyday, I’m not sure if he’s around or not,” Mr Oshiomhole said during his appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today monitored by 9NEWS NIGERIA.
Oshiomhole, a former National Chairman of the APC, said the party’s presidential campaign council was yet to be inaugurated because the President was away in New York.
President Muhammadu Buhari is the council’s Chairman.
Tinubu had reportedly left the country for the UK ahead of the campaign season but the trip has not been confirmed officially by his team.
