President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to revitalizing the agricultural sector and ensuring food security for all Nigerians.
In his 2025 budget presentation to the National Assembly on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, he addressed the challenges posed by insecurity, which has severely hampered agricultural productivity.
The President also emphasized the importance of supporting farmers through financial aid and the provision of essential inputs.
“Food security is non-negotiable. We are taking bold steps to ensure every Nigerian can feed conveniently, and no citizen will have to go to bed hungry.” President Tinubu declared.
The proposed budget prioritizes measures to boost agricultural output, positioning it as a cornerstone of the government’s broader economic recovery and growth agenda.
The President called for concerted efforts to reignite productivity in the sector, stressing that increased agricultural production is critical to achieving national food security.
