South East electorates have reacted over perceived coded moves by Governors from the zone to engage in a rap up endorsement deal to return President Bola Ahmed Tinubu back-to-back office in 2027, our reporters gathered.

This is in cognizance to addressing the lingering political disenfranchisement bedevilling the area in this All Progressive Congress Renewed Hope administration led by His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

South East electorates are not happy on this development of return ticket to President Tinubu allegedly proposed by the governors in the zone, 9News Nigeria reports.

The Igbos particularly are furious over this development but looking up to their political leaders to correct this anomalous trend eaten deep the fabric of leadership and developmental strides in the zone.

As year 2027 presidential election draws near, South East governors have sealed deal with the incumbent president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to return his elected despite all odds .

The South East governors have spoken in one voice through their spokesperson and Chairman progressive governors forum, His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma CON.

This decision came following the need for the inclusivity of double tenureship in the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria. Double or dual tenure for Presidents and Governors will be a better way to go to douse lingering confusion against rotation in national shares and resource control.

Recall that CONFAB agreement to add more states to the south Eastern region has been in serious debacle till date and time of filling this report by 9News Nigeria. At this point South East region is cheated on the balance of states across zones and the governors are still advocating for president Tinubu’s second term.

However , same South East governors have advocated for non features in the presidential candidate slots from the south Eastern zone to enable the zone return President Bola Tinubu back to back unhindered.

In s recent summit held over the weekend, Governor Hope Uzodinma said:

“What could be more momentous than a motion that heralds the adoption of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the consensus Presidential candidate for the 2027 General Election, given the growth and stability our economy has witnessed under the #RenewedHope administration, which has in turn stimulated progressive expansion across other critical sectors.

“This confidence is not rhetorical; it is grounded in measurable outcomes that continue to strengthen national resilience and investor trust. Against this backdrop, the APC South East Stakeholders Meeting held at the Hotel Presidential, Enugu, was not merely a gathering, but a clear statement of fact.

“Having been entrusted with the responsibility of piloting President Tinubu’s second-term election, the South East has demonstrated unity of purpose and a commitment to delivering victory for Mr. President at the polls.

“Our choices and decisions transcend partisan considerations. They are firmly rooted in securing the future of the South East within the Nigerian federation, particularly in advancing economic growth and accelerating infrastructural development across the region.

On this mandate, we are aligned, focused, and we will deliver as agreed by South East Governors to enable President Tinubu go back-to-back after which the presidential seat can come over to South East as speculated.

Meanwhile, electorates in the zone have condemned such decision of the SE Governors which they said it is against the political wishes of Ndi Igbo. Unless otherwise sealed and stamped that after the incumbent president Bola Tinubu’s second term in office, an Igbo president is certain and approved.

Several people interviewed on this development of unanimous endorsement of Tinubu to run for second tenure as ventured by SE Governors said it would have been a cemented agreement that will be enshrined immediately into law to have a smooth rotation of Presidency in Nigeria.
