Governor Alex Otti has reaffirmed his commitment to the Labour Party (LP), dismissing speculations about his possible defection to another political party.
Speaking to Abians during an interactive session on Thursday night, Governor Otti issued a strong warning to those allegedly plotting to manipulate the outcome of the forthcoming governorship election, declaring that such attempts would be fiercely resisted.
“I’m not defecting to another political party. Those planning to manipulate the Abia State governorship election results in 2027 should first write their own will, because this is our state and we cannot be intimidated,” Otti stated.
The governor emphasized that the people of Abia would not allow external forces or political power brokers to subvert their collective will, stressing that the state’s recent progress must be protected at all costs.
He urged Abians to remain vigilant and united, assuring them that his administration would continue to pursue policies that prioritize transparency, economic growth and the welfare of the citizens.
