Spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Campaign Council, Dele Alake has called for continuity in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Alake said Tinubu’s first term had been devoted largely to reforms, adding that Nigerians should return the President to office in 2027 to consolidate the policies and initiatives introduced by his administration.
“This first term has been solely devoted to reforms. Nigerians must vote this president back into office for consistency, for continuity, for consolidation,” he said.
The APC campaign spokesperson also cited assessments by local and international rating agencies, claiming that they had recognised the macroeconomic stability associated with the government’s policies.
Alake further defended Tinubu’s decision to campaign in 12 states, describing them as electorally significant and arguing that the President should be commended for selecting those states.
“The 12 states that President Tinubu chose to campaign in are actually election deciders. He should be commended for that. He is not going to abandon governance for campaigning,” he said.
According to Alake, the President’s campaign strategy would allow him to engage in electioneering without neglecting his constitutional responsibilities.
