Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has declared that President Bola Tinubu has no serious competitor ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Kalu made the statement in his hometown of Igbere during a meeting with members of the OUK Movement, Reality Organisation, and the All Progressives Congress in the state.

According to him, the APC remains the strongest political party in the country and currently faces no real threat from the opposition.

He said the opposition parties are divided and have failed to organize themselves into a formidable force capable of challenging the ruling party.

Kalu praised President Tinubu’s leadership style, describing him as a courageous leader who is willing to make difficult decisions in the country’s interest.

He admitted that the administration’s economic reforms have not yet delivered all the expected results but insisted that progress is being made.

According to the senator, while Nigerians are still feeling the impact of economic hardship, the country’s macroeconomic indicators are improving.

Speaking about his own performance, Kalu said he has faithfully represented the people of Abia North based on the mandate they gave him.

He added that he would gladly return home whenever his constituents decide they no longer want him in the Senate.

The senator also maintained that no senatorial district has attracted more development projects than Abia North during his tenure.

He said he facilitated the rehabilitation of several roads, the reconstruction of schools, and the distribution of uniforms and textbooks to pupils across his constituency.
