Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo has once again declared his open support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of 2027 elections, saying their friendship has lasted for more than 22 years.
Speaking on Tuesday shortly after a close-door meeting with President Tinubu at State House, Abuja, said the President is in “robust health and high spirits”.
The Anambra State Governor described described their discussion during the meeting as “quite pleasant”.

Soludo, wearing a white cap emblazoned with Tinubu’s insignia and inscription “progressives are working together”, said all political parties committed to progressivism are collaborating.
He praised the President’s bold reforms in the economy and structural sector.
“It was such a pleasure to meet with him, it was a very pleasant meeting”, Soludo said.
“I have no apologies about it. President Tinubu is my friend. He has been my friend for 22 years now and counting, so you don’t deny your friend.
“I support him, and I’m impressed by the bold steps he has taken, particularly in the areas of economy and structural reforms. We are taking the right steps, and we need to stay the course”.

Soludo, a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), said his stance is informed by the broader ideological conviction.
The governor also revealed that his administration had dealt decisively with what he called “deadly native doctors” in Anambra, accusing them of misleading youths with false promises and pushing them towards crime.
“They are now on the run”, he stated. he stated. On security in Anambra, the former CBN governor, said his administration is deploying a mix of “kinetic and non-kinetic” strategies.
He said the Home Land security law passed in January is being implemented alongside a crackdown on crucial elements, including those exploiting youths.
“Our non-kinetic approach focuses on youth empowerment and job creation.
“We have a unique skills training programme that has already empowered about 5,000 youths, with thousands more set to benefit financially soon we are creating thousands of youth millionaires within the next three years. The youth are very much involved”, he said.
