Scores of All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and members in Abeokuta North’s Ward 16, on Wednesday, trooped out to join 23 out of 27 Executive members to receive Hon. Yisa Ismaila Adebayo, popularly known as Omo-Ade ahead of 2027 General Elections.

Omo-Ade, who is a bonafide member of Ward 16, Ibara-Orile, Abeokuta North Local Government, went to his Electoral Ward to declare his political ambition to run for the Abeokuta North State Constituency in 2027, having declared his ambition to the Leaders and Executive members of APC at the Local Government level, ably led by Alhaja Faidat Akintunde Sarumi.

Hon Adebayo, who was welcomed by Hon. Fatai Balogun, Vice-Chairman, representing the Ward Chairman; Hon Lukman Adeogun, Councillor of Ward 16, Hon Abiola Adio, Hon Segun Akinyemi, among others, felt elated to have been welcomed and blessed by those that matter in the Electoral Ward, saying the home front political support signified desired success and victory in his bid to succeed as democratically-elected Honourable Member of Ogun State House of Assembly.

Speaking on behalf of Ward Chairman and other Executive members Hon Fatai Balogun, the Vice Chairman, saluted the courage of Hon Yisa Ismaila Adebayo for contesting as the State House of Assembly, saying Omo-Ade’s political declaration is not for him only, but for all the well-meaning APC members and residents of Ward 16.

He said House of Assembly membership is a real political representation as members of the State or Federal Assembly are meant to represent their people, especially at the grassroots level and for Ibara-Orile Ward 16 to now have a Representative at Oke-Mosan State Assembly should be a thing of joy.

He therefore appealed to the APC members, politicians and residents of Ibara-Orile Ward 16 of Abeokuta North Local State Constituency to support Omo-Ade, explaining that a vote cast for Omo-Ade is a vote cast for socio-economic growth and development of Ibara-Orile Ward 16 and for Abeokuta Noth State Constituency entirely.

The Vice-Chairman maintained that the vote for the like of Omo-Ade, who is a grassroots politician is not a political loss but a vote that gives the politicians and residents of Ibara-Orile Ward 16, a sense of belonging in the scheme of things in the State, bringing the dividend of democracy to all and sundry.

Also, the Councillor, representing the Ward 16 Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon Lukmon Adeogun said Hon Yisa Ismaila Adebayo is a politician that has passion for grassroots development and being at the State House of Assembly, he will support the course for growth and development.

He noted that the development of the Ward and Local Government should be paramount for anybody representing the State Constituency, calling on the people to do personal assessment of the would-be politicians to be voted for in 2027 General elections.

Speaking about his competence and what he would do if elected as Honourable Member, Ogun State House of Assembly, Omo-Ade, said, “I’m the right candidate for the job based on my level of education, political exposure, youthfulness, connection, character and capacity.

“For those who know, they know that I am not a novice politically and I know what is due for everybody whether the party Exco, members or any other people in our State Constituency.

“I’m a mixture of Ibara and Gbagura and you will all agree with me that the two sub-tribes form two out of four political zones that make up Abeokuta North Local Government and Abeokuta North State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly.

“So, by all standards, I’m qualified for this political office. I therefore appeal to you, my leaders, my Exco and the entire members of our great party – All Progressives Congress (APC) to allow me to serve the Abeokuta North State Constituency for the betterment of all of us”.
