THERE IS TOO MUCH NOISE OVER THE 40, 000 IMO YOUTHS ALLEGEDLY PROMISED TRAVELING ABROAD FOR JOB OPPORTUNITIES BY GOVERNMENT AND THE PEOPLE ARE DEMANDING FOR CLARIFICATIONS.

Imo people have expressed disatisfaction and regret over pressing challenges bedevilling job opportunities in the state.

The people are therefore advocating for the establishment of production companies and industrialization of the state to boost her entrepreneurship base, since the Governor has recently singed into law the independent power generation and distribution through the Ohaji Power station in Ohaji Egbema LGA.

Most recent is the SKILLUP program that produced thousands of Imo Youths who are now scouting on work opportunities to practicalise their training but regrettedly there was no plans for such employment or travelling abroad as gathered.

Information reaching 9News Nigeria has it that the training came up in series and the school has continued to empower more people of interest resident in the state through the SKILLUP.

Our correspondent gathered that the training policy is a wonderful one by the numerous high profile packages contained in the SKILLUP curriculum.

We also confirmed several study centers established by government to ease congestion of students as welcome development.

The students are however happy to have acquired such various skills which has empowered them for work opportunities both at home and abroad and that was the plan of Imo state government under governor Hope Uzodinma.

We also gathered that the program is worth commendable and could help to improve entrepreneurship and skill acquisition in the state.

Critiques are asking the Uzodinma led administration through the commissioner for Digital Economy and E-commerce to advertise the number of Youths that have got employment opportunities abroad through the SKILLUP as earlier announced.

Imolites are also asking the government to set up affiliate companies and industries that will at the end of such Empowerment co-opt the beneficiaries to kick start what they have learnt.

This process will no doubt make Imo state an entrepreneural environment where businesses and Economic status will automatically improve coupled with the completion of Power Generation and distribution policy that was passed into law few days ago by IMSG.

The question is “Was there any statement or plan for such moves as credited to the Governor?

Frankly speaking, those graduates of SKILLUP EMPOWERMENT are well equipped to travel any part of the world (abroad) to secure job based on the latest wave of empowerment knowledge they have acquired as sponsored by IMSG?

The public want to get the information right stop further castigation of Imo Governor or Government over this situation and rumour making the rounds against such a pretty SKILLUP program established by government.

“We have expected the CPS and the SKILLUP managers to make clarifications on this to inform Imo Youths and the general public aright. The noise is much!

“The commissioner for digital economy and e-commerce in Imo state have to set the record straight and tell Imolites the truth and nothing but the truth concerning this 40,000 Imo youths who are eagerly waiting to travel abroad after the SKILLUP Empowerment.

Meanwhile, COHORT 1, 2, 3 is said to have been concluded and expectedly the graduates of this courses are scouting for Job engagement to earn a living.

If the statement is true that 40, 000 Imo Youths trained under SKILLUP will have a fleece abroad for work opportunities, that will be very commendable.

However, the (40,000) thousand Imo Youths and more to be graduated will not end up as trained personel without a simplified Job package anywhere in the world as rumoured.

The shared prosperity administration led by His Excellency Governor Uzodinma is working hard enough to improve the state and empower Imo Youths, his empowerment schedule is expected to be productive and not retrogressive and a total charade as speculated.

To douse the noise about the alleged traveling of 40,000 Imo Youths for job employment, the commissioner for digital economy, the Chief press secretary and government owe Imolites explanation on the basis of Imo SKILLUP empowerment.
