The campaign was aimed at educating the girls on important aspects of menstrual hygiene, toilet infection prevention, Ovulation and health promotion.

YOSEMA Executive Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Goje, who officially flagged off the event, rewarded several participants who answered questions from the facilitators with gifts, as well as menstrual hygiene kits to each of the 150 girls.

A total of 25 Corps members facilitated the sessions, which were divided into three key areas: menstrual hygiene, toilet infection prevention, and general health promotion.

During the sessions, the girls were taught how to care for themselves during their menstrual periods and how to avoid infections commonly linked to poor hygiene practices.

Each beneficiary took home two packs of sanitary pads, two bars of soap, detergent, and undergarments in a bid to campaign for better menstrual hygiene practices within the community.
