Miss Universe 1st runner-up, Chidinma Adetshina has poured out her heartfelt appreciation and thankfulness to Nigeria and Africa for the support given to her emergence as a celebrity African queen.

As a women who has faced adversity in the hands of her citizenship, SOUTH AFRICA allegedly caged her emerging star from shining but NIGERIA her fatherland gave her an open arm and the ample opportunity to sail through, sailed through, moved on and won the miss Universe.

She never gave up to her vision and there is indeed alot of lessons from this her recently launched out fear in pageantry, an Honour she has returned back, in appreciation to Nigeria and Africa at large.

Her name is Chidinma Adetshina and a citizen of Nigeria born in South Africa. She’s the 1st- runner-Up in the just concluded Miss Universe context.

Queen Chidinma Adetshina has therefore expressed her heartwarm appreciation to Nigeria and African continent at large for the support and opportunity given to her to partake in the just concluded pageantry.

While appreciating her Fans, Nigeria, Africa and the organizers of the event, “I think I have a powerful story, I don’t stand here as Chidinma Adetshina but as a symbol of Faith, a Beacon of Hope. As someone has has persevered in grace, I believe I have not only fought for myself, I have fought for Africa” -Chidinma poured out her heart.

In a piece written by a notable fan of Chidinma from South Africa, named , Nkechi Bianze, was made open to the press and it reads thus:

“Once upon a time. There was a lady named Chidinma. Chidinma was born and raised in SA. Her father is Nigerian.

Chidinma has a passion for pageantry. So, one day, she decided to represent SA in the miss universe competition. But, SA, a place with a history of pre_dice decided that someone whose father is Nigerian would not be allowed the right to represent SA, a country where she was born and bred.

Long story short, Chidinma was threatened out of the competition in SA and Nigeria, her fatherland accepted her with open hands and Chidinma was accepted to participate in the miss universe Nigeria. But that wasn’t enough for the mumus of SA. These mumus massively voted for one of Chidinma’s fellow competitor just to make sure Chidinma doesn’t win. But God is not man and the world doesn’t revolve around human “stewpeedity”. Chidinma emerged the winner of miss Universe Nigeria and was to represent Nigeria in the Miss Universe.

Again, that wasn’t enough for these SA mumus. They wrote a petition to the Organizers of miss Universe to jeopardize Chidinma’s eligibility to participate at the miss universe. They were thoroughly ignored as the mumu that they are.

The representative of SA came 126th out of 127th, and she had to Shamefully drop out of the competition even before the actual event began. Citing “health reasons” as a cover-up for her incapacity to participate and represent her country on a global stage.

Chidinma, the woman who was rejected in SA went ahead to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe. She performed impressively and emerged as the 1st runner up.

Chidinma fought against strong SA forces to achieve what she achieved. Her success is a testament of her resilience.

One of the best things that happened to Chidinma was being kicked out of the miss universe SA. Because she would NEVER have won in a country where they have a historic preference of handling the crown to people with lighter skin color. Chidinma would never have been able to thrive in such a tox environment.

If SA hadn’t kicked Chidinma out, Nigeria wouldn’t have had any reason to rescue Chidinma and offer her another opportunity. And Chidinma would never had represented at the Miss Universe.

Chidinma has achieved today what SA would never have been able to offer her”.

Meanwhile, Chidimma Adetshina from Nigeria made history as the first runner-up at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant held in Mexico. She is the first Nigerian and African to achieve this feat since Agbani Darego’s top 10 finish in 2001. The Miss Universe title went to Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark while María Fernanda Beltran of Mexico took second runner-up.

Here are the Top 5 Placements:
