Former Kogi East Senator, Emmanuel Dangana Ocheja, 74, has reportedly tied the knot with an 18-year old lady identified as Winifred, marking a new chapter in his love life.
The former lawmaker and his young bride celebrated their union in Abuja, where they held their white wedding on September 19, 2026.Their traditional wedding ceremony had earlier taken place on September 13.
The marriage was brought to public attention by businessman Isaac Fayose, who congratulated the couple in a social media post.
According to Fayose, Winifred is reportedly the best friend of Senator Ocheja’s granddaughter, a detail that has drawn attention to the significant age difference between the newlyweds.
Senator Ocheja, a legal practitioner-turned politician, represented Kogi East Senatorial District in the 7th National Assembly from 2011 to 2015.
Ocheja was elected into the Senate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and served as a representative of the people of Kogi East during his four-year tenure.
The former senator’s marriage to the 18-year-old lady has attracted public attention, particularly due to the age gap between the couple.
