Former Administrative Aide to the former Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon Adewale Fasade has been appointed as the 9News Nigeria’s National Program Director.
The appointment was made known by the Publisher, Mr Obinna Ejianya, during the 9News Nigeria editorial and stakeholders meeting on Wednesday.
Mr Obinna Ejianya stated that Hon Fasade is highly qualified and has all it takes to function efficiently and take 9News Nigeria to a new level it rightly deserves. He further said he is hopeful that in the new leadership position, Hon. Adewale Fasade will be adequately equipped and supported to carry out the roles required for the next level stride.
Mr Fasade Adewale Adesina is an administrator, technocrat, media practitioner and politician.
Before now, he worked at the National Sports Commission as Public Relations Officer, first at the Commission’s Lagos Office between 1993 and 1998, and later at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, the Headquarters of South West Zone of the Commission between 1998 and 2009.
Mr Fasade was posted to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development where he served, among other positions, as administrative Aide to the former Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Akinwumi Adesina between 2011 and 2015. He also served other Honourable Ministers in an administrative capacity before joining politics in 2021.
He is the Director-General and Convener of the Movement For Electoral Integrity In Nigeria, being one of the over 2,500 Support Groups that worked tirelessly for the emergence of HE, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima and all other APC Candidates at all levels in the 2023 General elections.
Mr Fasade is the Deputy National Director, Media and Publicity of Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG), an umbrella body for all support groups under the APC. He is also the Country Director, Media and Publicity of the International Human Rights Protection Forum, Nigeria which has its headquarters in Florida, USA
Until this appointment, he has been the Editor-in-Chief of 9news Nigeria, Abuja Bureau since 2020 till date.
Mr Fasade is currently contributing his quota to the development of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the Managing Editor of AASG Magazine, the official publication of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG).
He is blessed with a wonderful wife, Bolanle, and three children; two males (Ayobami and Caleb) and a female, Yinka.
Reacting to the new appointment, Hon. Fasade appreciated the Publisher and the 9News Nigeria leadership for finding him worthy of the new leadership position.
