9News Nigeria South-South Chief -Editor, Amb Emmalex David Atseyinku, Asks INEC Chairman, Are Nigerians Still Using BVAS 11th March

The South-South Chief Editor of 9News Nigeria, Ambassador Emmalex David Atseyinku draw the attention of the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Professor Mahmood Yakubu to the issue of using the BVAS machine in conducting the Governorship/State Assembly elections coming up on the 11th of March 2023.

Amb Emmalex asks the INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood if Nigerians will still go ahead with the BVAS machine in the Governorship elections, he said Nigerians feel so disappointed in the BVAS. Machine because what the INEC chairman told us about the function of the machine is quite different from what we experienced in the just concluded Presidential election.

Amb Emmalex says if the BVAS machine can not transmit units results from polling units to the INEC Server, there is no important need of using the BVAS device, it’s better for Nigerians to vote with the old methods of using our Manual voting because it’s preferable and trusted.

The BVAS machine has brought serious tension to the country over the failure to upload results from polling units.

Amb Emmalex Urges INEC National chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, to have better rethink and apply a better method of conducting a credible and transparent election on 11th March

What happens in the Presidential election will never be accepted by Nigerians if it occurs in the Governorship/State Assembly elections ” he added “
