Paul Okafor was the AIG in control of Zone 11 police command located in the South West Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria which comprises of Ondo, Osun and Oyo state commands of the Nigerian Police.
Before he became the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Paul Okafor served as the State Commissioner of Police for Kogi, Benue and Bayelsa states respectively.
Paul Okafor served as the DCP attached to Police Pensions, in the police headquarters, Abuja.
He was promoted from Deputy Commissioner of Police to Commissioner of Police in 2014 under the then Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration and was later promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in 2016 under the current Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari.
