9News Nigeria mourns as one of its gallant and diligent reporter, 9News Nigeria Imo state correspondent, Comrade Princely Onyenwe loses his father to the cold hands of death on Sunday.

Sir (Cab.) Emmanuel Obinnaya Onyenwe, KSC, MBA died in Imo state after a brief illness.

Before his death Sir Onyenwe was a highly revered public servant and made remarkable impacts in the commercial sector of Imo state.

With heavy heart and total submission to the will of God, the family of Onyenwe in Umuoma Autonomous Community in Nekede Owerri West local government area of Imo state Nigeria announce the glorious transition of their Lovely and Lengendry Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Husband and Brother whose death occurred after a brief illness on Sunday 4th October 2020.

Until his death, Late Sir (Cab.) Emmanuel Obinnaya Onyenwe, KSC; MBA was a devoted Knight of Saint Christopher (KSC) Egbu Diocese and the secretary of Umuoma Royal Cabinet.

He was a one time Produce Inspector and rose to the position of Assistant Chief Trade Officer in the then ministry of commerce, industry and tourism Imo state.

He held a lot of scheduled and Ad Hoc appointments and attended numerous workshops/seminars while in the civil service.

He was scheduled officer, export matters and secretary of Imo state export promotion committee. He was also scheduled officer, governors and commissioners speeches on commercial matters. Scheduled officer of commercial projects feasibility studies.

In his service to Almighty God in the Anglican Communion, Sir Emmanuel served in various capacities and was Chairman 2019 Christian Men Fellowship CMF at Holy Trinity Church Nekede.He was the GM Diocesan Printing Press Uzii Owerri,2002-2004.

In the community service, he was a leader per excellence. He gave his best and maintained justice till the end. He was Chairman, Umudoche Development Union, Umuoma Autonomous Community and founding member of De-Na Agwu town.

He was an old boy of then C.M.S Central school Nekede; Iheme Memorial Grammer school Ndizuogu Orlu; Kaduna State Polytechnic; Institute of Marketing Moorhall Cookham and University of Calabar Nigeria.

In his words, the head of the Family, Comrade Princely Onyenwe maintained that, “Indeed My Hero, an erudite scholar; a Pen Commader; My Mentor; My Boss; a Man of Peace and Justice; a Disciplinarian, My caring Daddy has goneback to Godhead”

His Burial Date will be announced by the family.

Indeed he has fought the fight; May his gentle soul rest in God.
