Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has charged members of his cabinet and senior officials to heighten the tempo of governance required to deliver their promise of performance to Lagosians.
Governor Sanwo Olu said in his official tweeter account that he made the statement during an open address at a Ministerial Performance Review Retreat today in Lagos.
In my opening address today at a 2-day Ministerial Performance Review Retreat, I noted that Lagosians will not accept #COVID19 as an excuse for non-performance.
Regardless of the challenges we face, we are still committed as a government to fulfilling the promises we made.
I therefore charged cabinet members and other senior officials to heighten the tempo of governance and continue to create opportunities through innovative policies that are not only inclusive but also provide sustainable solutions.
I reiterated that the yardstick for performance assessment will not be based majorly on the amount of money expended but on the outcome of our various interventions and impact on the lives of the citizens that we swore to serve.
A promise we made at the inception of our administration and in line with the principle of continuity was to ensure the completion of projects inherited from the last administration. A significant part of our efforts and resources has been devoted towards fulfilling this promise.
