Following the rumour making the rounds that Nigeria Okonjo Iwuala has not been officially announced winner of the WTO, Please, i will want to state the facts in the screening process and what has led to the shift in the official pronouncement and declaration of the winner while Okonjo Iwuala has already topped the lead having recorded 104 out of 164 member countries votes.
Listen from my view point, Okonjo Iwuala is a registered Democrat member..She will not support Trump’s economic policy plan which doesn’t go well with the Chinese who are the main players and those that try to fall Trump with their corona accliamed manufactured virus. And secondly she is from Nigeria where human rights are said to be not duly respected having the recent Lekki shootings that added more odds to the system.
Meanwhile, a reliable source who lives in the US fowarded this viewpoint of hers. Read her👉 I’m not in support of Trump. However, I think this decision is driven by the USA- China trade conflict. USA will be more comfortable with a South Korean candidate than an African candidate considering China hold on Africa countries presently. Barak Obama, a black man, prevented Dr. Ngozi from becoming the World Bank president in 2012 by supporting a South Korean Candidate. It will always be about policy for any America president. They are not like our leaders driven by emotions or ego .
I believe it is a political economy decision by the USA. Mrs Ngozi is a register member of the Democratic party in the USA which is China friendly at the momemt. The Republican party in power will not support a candidate that is not in alignment with Trump trade policy. The South Korea candidate from a political economy view will be more in alignment with Trump trade policy considering America relationship with South Korea. This is also why China supported Mrs Ngozi over a South Korean candidate because of Africa trade relationship with China. It has nothing to do with hatred for black or Nigeria but simply a political economy decision. Nigeria government should also apply same principle when going into international trade agreement.
The USA needs to clarify why China supported her and Dr Ngozi needs to show to the USA that America interest will be protected. It is a political economy decision.
Though i am imagining the level of politics going on in the affairs of men world over where truth is being denied from the people.Why have justice and due process been relegated to the background?
Therefore, by the number of votes for Okonjo Iwuala and the remaining member votes less than 10% cannot change the result. It is on this therefore the media had it in breaking news to have prempted her winning as the next DG WTO. Why must the US wage its declaration?
