The students union government exercise screening had been postponed due to the unapproved proposal sent to the student affairs body in Ogun State Institute Of Technology.
According to the SUECO Chairman, David Lawal, “a letter in form of a memo was sent to the student affairs, S.P.C as well received the letter and also the executive arm of the student union government was given the letter.
He said, the election should to be held before the expiration of the students of most of the out-gone HND and Nd 2 students on campus, so that why there have be a fasting process in election compare to that of how the process was run as at last year.
David Maintained that, early this morning the S.P.C got information that since the approval have not been given by the student affairs that the election process which involved the screening had to be postponed and we had no option that to discharged all candidate who are aspiring and have to admonished them that new date will be communicated to them.
He further said, “we will be holding a meeting with the student affairs tomorrow and we will surely gets back to aspirants.”
The postponement of the screening was base on the late approval of the memorandum sent to the student affairs body and for no reason it wasn’t because of the inadequate preparation of the screening exercise.
