According to information shared on 9News Nigeria platform seeking for public attention, a Nigerian of IGBO extraction who lives in Pittsburg Pennsylvania in the USA has been reportedly placed in the intensive care unit of a hospital in USA due to Covid-19 severe infection.
The man whose identity was not known to the authorities owing to the fact that he could not speak and does not have any identification document on him, was said to have arrived from Nigeria before getting severely sick.
He has no one that knows him and has no contacts so far.
9News Nigeria investigated the story online and discovered that the post was first made public on a Facebook account. We have contacted the owner of the Facebook account in order to verify the story and make further confirmation from the source, but as at the time of making this publication, we have not received any response as to confirm the story and its source.
“The young man on this bed (very sick) is from Nigeria (Igbo) residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA. They’re looking for anybody that knows him. He does not have his phone number, nor his name and he just came back from Nigeria. Not married and does not belong to any Igbo organization in Pittsburgh . A friend of mine in New Jersey forwarded this to me. Please share to others let’s see if we can find his family in Nigeria.Thanks”
