The Anambra State All Progressives Congress guber primaries holding today across 326 wards in the state has been hijacked by sims power players in the ruling party.
Reports has it that as at 4:00 pm, no electoral material arrived the wards, no electoral officer was seen. This raised dust that the process is no longer free and fair.
The APC NWC approved direct primaries for the Anambra gubernatorial primary and party members were to go to their wards to cast their votes. Several party members were seen stranded at the various polling centers.
Our correspondents reported that in Nnewi North were the Former APC National auditor Chief George Muoghalu hails from, party faithfuls who came out to vote as early as 10 am complained that they were stranded as no sign of election was found.
In Orumba North, reports has it that election material arrived some centers at about 5:30 pm and some youths agitating for cancellation of the process opened up attacks on the officials. This led to record of violence and youths raised weapons to scare the officials aware.
