Anambra 2021: Why Court Orders INEC Not To Publish The Name Of Any Candidate From PDP.

An FCT High Court Abuja on Thursday issued an order mandating INEC not to publish the name of anyone as the candidate of PDP for November 6 Anambra State Governorship election.

In view with this order that came as a shock to the camp of Valentine Ozigbo who is assumed to be the authentic PDP candidate, it was reported that the restraining order from the state high court Awka which had earlier stopped the Publication of Valentine Ozigbo as the candidate of PDP was not renewed by Justice Obiorah Nwabunike after it elapsed.

Moreover, there is a serious tension in the Campaign team of Valentine Chineto Ozigbo the factional candidate of PDP for the November 6 Anambra state governorship election pending the outcome of this motion as INEC publishes Anambra Governorship Candidates without having PDP on the list.
Source revealed to us that it was Valentine Ozigbo who went to court seeking an order to compel INEC not to tamper with his name which was already submitted to INEC on June 2nd by PDP as the authentic PDP candidate.

Source also confirmed to 9newsng.com that Valentine Ozigbo also asked the court to grant an order that INEC should publish his name and not that of any other candidate. Therefore, PDP should not tamper with the name which was submitted to INEC on June 2nd.

In response to the order given to the court by Valentine Ozigbo, it was unfortunate that the court turned against him and rather refused to grant his main reliefs and went ahead to block INEC from publishing the name of any candidate of PDP, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.

Remember that we have two faction in PDP which impedes the decision of INEC to Publish one Candidate against the wish of the court.

This shocking News came as a surprise to many party faithful in PDP as they hope for a better outcome prior to November 6 Governorship election.

A good Ally to Valentine Ozigbo confirmed to 9news.com correspondence that the court order is true; he further stated that this is the Handwork of Political machandize who are hell-bent in undermining our democracy.

Truth be told, what will be the outcome of the court on this matter is volatile as INEC omits PDP in the just released names of Governorship Candidates.

In response, Hon. Valentine Ayika Confirmed to us that the court order was done by Political machineries who considers their own Interest more than that of the masses. “Valentine Ozigbo emerging as the Candidate of PDP is in-line with the electoral Act”, he added.
