The Nigerian Department of State Services, DSS has finally bowed to pressure and allowed the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the freedom to be visited by family members
Sequel to the freedom of access to his family, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, Emmanuel Kanu was able to meet with him on Monday at the DSS headquarters in Abuja. Emmanuel Kanu was in the company of his legal team including Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
According to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who confirmed the meeting via his Twitter platform, the IPOB leader was healthy and in good spirit when they visited him at the DSS headquarters in Abuja.
Barrister Ejiofor tweeted “We just concluded today’s routine visit on a very sound note. What made today’s visit unique is that today marks the first Day Our Client -Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is setting his eyes on his sibling.
“In my company during the Family’s maiden visit to Our Client. Our Client is Prince Emmanuel Kanu (Fine Boy), the Representative of Our Client’s family.
“Our Client- Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is very strong in spirit.
“You will hear the rest from Prince Emmanuel Kanu.”
Kanu has been in DSS detention after he was rearrested and repatriated from an undisclosed African country.
The secret police had failed to produce Kanu during his last court hearing before Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court.
