Nekede Polytechnic has released strict directives of screening exercise and payment of school fees by students. This development will affect majority of ND1 and HND1 students that are nonchallant about following the directives as ordered by the school management as gathered by 9News Nigeria.
The Management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri in Imo State Nigeria however noticed with dismay the slow pace of compliance in the screening exercise for National Diploma- ND1 and Higher National Diploma-HND 1 students.

Register and made available to 9News Nigeria FEDPONEK correspodent has it that the non- compliance of screening directive by the students has affected prompt payment of school fees.
It further noted various challenges faced by students in course of their registration exercise.
Consequently upon this urgly Development, the Management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri has approved the following guidelines as a measure to ensure seamless screening exercise and prompt payment of school fees by the students.
The guideline reads as thus:
The students must go to their screening officers/Desk officers and present their acceptance receipts with their names written on the back of the receipt.
The names must be Written and captured on the arrival sheet.
The students must show evidence of payment of school fees.
The screening/Desk officers should check/verify the credentials uploaded by the students which qualify him/her for admission.
Meanwhile, all students must pay their school fees before the Matriculation exercise scheduled to hold on THURSDAY 14th July,2022 otherwise will not be approved and shortlisted.
The warning notice also stated that only students whose names appear on the arrival list would be eligible to Matriculate, write exams and access the institution’s Medical Facilities.
Most importantly, Only HND1 students whose names appear on the arrival list would be forwarded to JAMB AND NYSC Officer for mobilization and to participate in NYSC Programme.
It is on this guidelines therefore, that any students who flouts the above stipulated order would have him/herself to blame.
In addition, all Deans, Director (EP and WP) Heads of Department are thereby requested to ensure strict compliance by students under their jurisdiction.
