“Did you not buy cars for yourself when you were Minister?.” That is what one suffering suffering citizen had to say in reaction to my revulsion at the irresponsible and profligate purchase of luxury cars by NASS members amidst severe hardships facing citizens. Please find the Permanent secretary, Dr Aboki Zawa, that worked with me in both Ministries of Minerals and Education respectively and ask him that question.
I did not buy any car for my use at both Ministries. What for? I simply asked the Permanent secretary to repair any vehicle that was left behind by my predecessors for my use.
