U.S. state, California introduces new subject to curb fake news

A state in U.S.A, California has made recognizing fake news a required subject in schools.

California will now require K-12 students to learn media literacy skills, such as recognizing fake news and thinking critically about what they see online.

The state has stressed this development as a much needed step to curb misinformation across social media & platforms.
