Lt. Col. Abubakar -Surajo Imam has emerged as the first professor from serving personnel in the history of the Nigerian Army following the announcement of his promotion to the revered academic rank by the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna on Friday in Kaduna.
Imam who served in the Nigerian Army Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is currently Head, Department of Mechatronics Engineering and Director Centre For Innovation and Creativity at the NDA among other responsibilities entrusted to him in and outside the Armed Forces due to his academic prowess.
