APOLOGIES TO YOUR CONSTITUENTS OR FACE RECALL. WE DIDN’T SEND YOU TO THE HOUSE TO GET A FATHER THAT WILL ENCOURAGE YOU TO REBEL AGAINST THE GOVERNOR OF OUR DEAR RIVERS STATE.
SAY NO TO PARALLEL GOVERNMENT IN RIVERS STATE.
We must know that section 110 of the 1999 CONSTITUTION OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA AS AMENDED gives us the constituent’s power to RECALL members representing us in the State House of Assembly as a result of our loss of confidence in them.
And as of today, in Rivers State, there are some House of Assembly members who are on the side of forming a parallel government against the government of the day. We sent them to the house to make laws and attract legislative dividends to us, but, rather than doing the job we sent them to do for us, they have gone to get fathers who are encouraging them to rebel against the governor of the State.
An action no past Governor of the State will ever accept. It is a No-No for their father on whose shoulders they’re standing to disrespect the executive governor of the State. Attending meetings and freshers courses without the consent of the governor and doing things contrary to the will of their constituents.
We are, therefore, calling on the good-willed men and women from the various constituencies of these failed House of Assembly members to start the Recall process. We must make them realize that they are not in the House on their own but by the people’s mandate.
I support the Recall of the member representing my constituency in the RSHA for joining to form a parallel government against the government of the day.
He should apologize to us his constituents for his involvement in the October 30, 2023 saga in Rivers State or face the Recall process. We also demand to know what they have done for their constituents since being elected to the House.
