Arsenal have turned their sights to Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, as chances of luring Thomas Lemar has become slim.
Calciomercato reports that Arsene Wenger is ready to snap up Mahrez, who he previously tried to sign last summer and a deal could be completed quickly.
The Algerian has already publicly admitted that he wants to leave the King Power Stadium this summer, in search of a new adventure – a stance which could make an exit easier to negotiate.
Arsenal’s rejected bid for Lemar is believed to have been in the region of £30m.
The 21-year-old helped Monaco win the Ligue 1 title last season for the first time in 17 years and has three years left on his contract.
