The Traditional Ruler of Umuoma Nekede Autonomous community in Owerri West local government area of Imo State Nigeria, HRH Eze Morrison Soronnadi Eke-PhD has been applauded by the generality of Umuoma Widows on his continued benevolence to his subjects.
9News Nigeria authoritatively reports that the widows were drawn from the five towns of Umuoma autonomous community, namely; DE-Na-AGWU, Umuogba, Okwu, Ikea and Umuezerokam at the instance of the Eke Royal Family.
The event was held on Sunday evening, the Eve of the Christmas day celebration at the palace of Eze Morrison Eke-PhD.
Speaking at the palace, Mr Douglas Eke took permission from his elder brother DANKWA who happens to be the a several times chairman of ambulance drivers in Imo state for several years until his retirement to address the women as 9News Nigeria reports.
Such show of love and respect exhibited by Mr Douglas Eke before the guests was second to none in the present day family settings where envy, greed, disrespect and indiscipline has become a norm.
Douglas Eke told the women that widowhood is not the end of life while advising them to stay firm as daughters of grace, looking unto God for strength, devine preservation and satisfaction.
The Eke Royal Family under the the leadership and directives of HRH Eze Morrison S Eke -PhD has felicitated with 45 widows in his community in this festive season.
The Ekes on Sunday entertained Umuoma Widows and give them a Cash Gift for their Christmas 2023 celebrations respectively.
Recall that In the past, when HRH Eze Omadike traveled out, he mobilized the royal family members to assist in providing adequate welfare for the Umuoma community.
Same was applicable to the Year 2023 Widow’s gifts facilitated by Eze Morrison Eke by the approval of the Eke dynasty at home and abroad.
Omadike did it during the Covid 2019 when the Eke family provided N2m palliatives to his Umuoma Nekede subjects.
In 2021 the Umuoma Vigilante was supported with security equipment , uniform and monthly allowances courtesy of Eze Omadike.
In 2022, the Traditional Ruler persuaded some illustrious sons of his community in Diaspora to sponsor the purchase of customized wrappers for Umuoma women amounting to N7.5m.
Feeling concerned about the plights of the widows in 2023, Eze Omadike
while away of vacation approved his younger brother Douglas and his PPA Kelechi Oparanozie to coordinate the program.
The list of the beneficiaries at this year’s widow’s gift in Umuoma Nekede Autonomous community amounted up to Forty Five women while many others not captured will be visited at their respective homes as announced by the coordinators.
In response, the widows thanked the Eke Royal Family and the community executive body for such a wonderful gift while praying for the safe trip of HRH Eze Morrison Soronnadi Eke-PhD.
The PG, TPM, the Cabinet chairman, royal Cabinet members, vigilante Coordinator alongside the public relation manager of Umuoma autonomous community were all in attendance.
