The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly arrested popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, in Lagos State.
According to the latest reports, Bobrisky was apprehended at Pinnock Estate, Lagos, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
The arrest is said to be related to an alleged abuse of the naira currency during a movie premiere event.
Filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi took to social media to share the news, stating that Bobrisky was arrested by the EFCC on Wednesday afternoon and subsequently spent the night in their custody.
Oloketuyi’s post read;
“According to reports, Bobrisky was arrested by @officialefcc Wednesday afternoon and he spent the night in their Cell.”
The exact details surrounding the alleged abuse of the naira by Bobrisky at the movie premiere remain unclear.
However, the arrest has sparked widespread discussions and speculations across social media platforms.
It is noteworthy that, as of now, the EFCC has not issued an official statement regarding Bobrisky’s arrest.
