Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has expressed assurance that Nigeria will overcome its current turmoil. He emphasized that President Bola Tinubu remains dedicated to providing good governance for Nigerians. Wike made these remarks during a courtesy visit by the top leaders of the Methodist Church Nigeria, led by Prelate Dr. Oliver Abah. He stated that through fervent prayers from religious groups, the President will succeed in restoring hope to Nigeria.
Wike assured the Church leaders of his support for programs that promote development and peace in Abuja. He encouraged them not to lose hope in the policies of the current administration.
According to Wike, “I believe by the special grace of God, Nigeria would come out from the turmoil that we are in. Prayer is key! We can do all we think, but without God nothing can be achieved, and so his victory; his hope is anchored on God. That is why Tinubu has never failed to ask religious leaders to continue to pray for his administration and for the growth of Nigeria,”
During the visit, Prelate Abah assured the minister that the church will continue to pray for the President and his administration. The congregation he leads remains supportive of the government, as Tinubu’s success is seen as the success of the church. The Prelate expressed his prayers for economic revitalization and the eradication of insecurity in the country. He affirmed that there is hope for Nigeria and its people.
In his word, Prelate Abah said: “This is because, his success is our success, and his success is the joy of all Nigerians. “In actualising his ‘renewed hope’ agenda, I pray for an economic renaissance for our dear country and terming the evil of insecurity in the land. I affirm that there is hope for Nigeria and Nigerians.”
