He swung into action to see that most of these buildings serving special purposes as Faculty, Administrative or Departmental were all completed within a short while with a view to bridging the infrastructural gap and equally restoring the aesthetic view of the University.

Under the visionary watch of Prof Esimone, new faculties and departments were approved by Senate and some have been accredited by NUC which include Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences; Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences and departments include Environmental Health Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Dentistry, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity and Urban & Regional Planning amongst others.

How many lions would a hunter kill before he will earn his deserved name as a great hunter??

A call through one of our correspondence in Awka reveals that the University is very calm and semester exams & other activities ongoing as well. The false information being circulated by those who do not wish the University community well should be totally disregarded and ignored by well-meaning Nigerians who were true witnesses to Prof Esimone’s stewardship in UNIZIK.

The process of electing the Vice Chancellor’s successor is not shrouded in secrecy to warrant any provocative and demeaning write-ups geared towards tarnishing the image of the outstanding and quintessential outgoing VC.
