The Nigerian Senate had its sitting yesterday Wednesday, 17-07-2024, during the sitting, the house announced the immediate removal of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South as Chief Whip.
Information reached us that the red chamber put up a voice vote, which was presided over by the Nigerian Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Senate Caucus agreed to the removal of Senator Ndume as Chief Whip During the Plenary.
A source told our correspondent that this action took place because Senator Ali Ndume was speaking against the bad ridership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his leadership- government.
The sacked Chief Whip, Senator Ali Ndume was immediately replaced by Senator Tahir Mungono, who is representing Borno North.
