If cooking is all it takes for my husband to leave, he can go – Newlywed Adaora (Soludo)

Ifeatu Adaora, the daughter of Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has taken to social media to comment on the ‘cooking for a man’ trend.

Adaora recently got married to her heartthrob, Arinze in a beautiful and lavish wedding ceremony on the Saturday 17, August 2024 in Abuja.

However, following the ongoing marriage trend, recommending that a wife must cook for her husband to avoid loosing him, the newlywed wife has thrown an opinion on the topic.

9News Nigeria reports that many relationship experts have advised that cooking is an integral component of a lasting marriage and failure to accomplish such feat may jeopardize the union.

In a Sunday post on her X handle, Adaora wrote; “The amount of terrible advice I’ve received around marriage is alarming.

“In 2024, people are still telling me that if I don’t cook for my husband, another woman will steal him from him. If that’s all it takes for him to leave then he can go.”

Her comments have also sparked outrage among citizens and individuals, as some have argued that such tenets are wrong for marriage.

“Meanwhile, it shows that the husband is a Simp! The woman seems to lack respect for him!” @TonyeBarcanista commented.

Also, some supported her motion with one X user @HerLoveshipJ commenting; “We’ve moved pass the era where cooking qualifies one for marriage and to stay in marriage”.
