British journalist, David Collier expressed strong criticism of how the media has been portraying the ongoing conflict between Israel and several militant groups.
In a recent post on his X account, Collier argued that Israel has been acting in self-defense against attacks initiated by Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, yet some journalists fail to highlight this, misleading the public.
“Israel did not attack Hamas, Hamas attacked Israel. Israel did not attack Hezbollah, Hezbollah attacked Israel. Israel did not attack the Houthis, the Houthis attacked Israel,” Collier wrote.
He further said, “If a journalist does not clearly point out Israel is defending itself, then they are lying to you.”
His remarks come as tensions in the region escalate, with rising concerns about how the conflict is reported.
Collier’s post challenges the objectivity of certain media outlets, calling for a more transparent narrative that emphasizes Israel’s defensive stance in the face of aggression from militant groups.
