He probes whether the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike, is a catalyst behind the persistent discord between his supporters and those of his successor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
During the 2023 gubernatorial campaign, Wike played a pivotal role in promoting Fubara as the ideal candidate for leadership in Rivers State. On October 19, 2024, Wike hosted a celebration in the state following a favorable appeal judgment concerning the defection of 27 lawmakers from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC). While the event saw a strong turnout of Rivers State dignitaries, it was notably absent of Governor Fubara, prompting further speculation about the state of their relationship.
