Manchester United have qualified for the last four of this season’s FA Cup, after beating Brighton 2-0 on Saturday night.
It is the only trophy Jose Mourinho’s men are in contention for, after they were eliminated from the Champions League last week.
Romelu Lukaku scored the first goal of the game, heading in Nemanja Matic’s cross shortly before half time, in what was otherwise a dull encounter.
Matic himself doubled the lead late on in the match.
Earlier in the day, Tottenham Hotspur also booked their place in the semi-finals.
Christian Eriksen netted a brace, while Erik Lamela also got on the scoresheet, as Mauricio Pochettino’s men defeated Swansea City 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium.
On Sunday, Wigan Athletic host Southampton while Chelsea travel to Leicester City, in the other quarter-final ties.
