I4 victims rescued, 5 suspects arrested as Police burst kidnappers hideout in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command said it has bursted a kidnappers’ hideout in Toto Local Government Area of the state and rescued fourteen (14) kidnapped victims.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

According to him, Police Operatives attached to Toto Division in collaboration community youths bursted the kidnappers’ hideout located at Achido village, a deeply forested terrain bordering FCT and Kogi State.

He also announced the arrest of 5 suspects namely Shaibu Garba, Umar Mohammed, Yakubu Kasim, Mustapha Adamu and Abdul Mohammed.

Nansel said the suspects have confessed to be responsible for the supply of food to the kidnappers in the forest.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada has restated the Command’s commitment to continuously partner with members of the community to rid the State of crime, and urged the public at all times to say something when they see something”, the statement added.
