Ahmed Nur, a Samsung Phone user has expressed his excitement after receiving excellent service from the Samsung’s customer service office in Abuja.
Narrating the incident, Ahmed said that he felt like he was gifted a new phone when he visited the brand’s office on Tuesday afternoon to collect his malfunctioning phone.
“My phone developed a problem few days ago, the switch button was malfunctioning, I wanted to take it to phone engineers for repair but then I decided to take it to Samsung office for proper examination of the problem.
“I was told that the phone’s panel is at fault, not the switch button as I thought and I left it for repair,” he said.
Ahmed said he returned to the office five days later and was surprised by the outcome.
“I was contacted by the office to come forth and collect my phone, that it has been fixed and ready to use, I was expecting to pay a huge bill for the service because I was told earlier that the panel is connected to the phone’s screen and I may lose all my data in the fixing process.
“But when I reached there, I was just asked to sign a warranty document and provide some of my details and leave with the phone without paying any dime, I was surprised really, especially with the fact that we are in Nigeria, not the brand’s headquarters,” Ahmed said.
He also noted that he did not lost any of his data on the phone after th repair.
“My biggest concern was actually the data I will lose as suggested earlier by the customer service attendant, but fortunately, they are all intact,” he said.
As a fresh university graduate of Business Administration, Ahmed said he has been using Samsung phones for over 10 years and cannot change to any brand because “I am used to it.”
His current phone Samsung Galaxy A24, he said, is about one and a half year old now.
