The New DPO of Umuoma Nekede Police Division SP Ikemereh C. PhD has taken an official courtesy visit to His Royal Highness HRH Eze Morrison SJ Eke- Ph.D.
The visit is targeted at familiarizing with the Traditional Ruler and the Host Autonomous Community Umuoma Nekede in Owerri West LGA Imo state Nigeria.
However , there are three host Autonomous communities of Umuoma, Umudibia and Umualum in Nekede Owerri West which expectedly the new police DPO will pay similar visit of this sort to familiarize with the communities.
SP Ikemereh said he came to report that the police authorities posted him to Nekede Police Division as the new Divisional Police Officer in charge.
He further assured the Umuoma Nekede people that nobody requires any money to see him and lay down his complaints because the police office is a public property and is saddled with the responsibility to interact with the people on matters of public interest.
He added that he is in Umuoma Police Division to serve the Division wholeheartedly and with sincerity. He stated his rich past working experiences and exposure which he said will be explored to serve Nekede Division better and more effectively.
While speaking he sought the co-operation of all to make him succeed in his new assignment while calling for the co-orporation of all the residents in Umuoma Nekede autonomous community.
In his response, HRH Eze Morrison Eke . PhD ( Omadike of Umuoma Nekede ) said that he feels strongly endeared to new DPO just at first meeting.
Omadike assured the new DPO that his people are very hospitable people and peace loving too . He told him that Umuoma Nekede people are ready and willing to cooperate with him and his team in whatever assignments that will make them succeed.
Eze Omadike introduced all the principal officers of the community present at the reception- the PG , Cabinet Chairman, all town chairmen, youth leaders and women leaders. He made the Community Chaplain Pastor John Ibeh who also was present to pray for the new DPO , asking God to give him the wisdom , understanding and divine protection to accomplish his assignments.
The Eze assured him that he is declaring that the Almighty God will grant him upliftment in rank and recognition before he leaves Nekede Police Division for any other posting.
There was light refreshments after the ceremony and group pictures were taken. Recall his name is SP Ikemereh C. PhD and a citizen of Imo State Nigeria.
