The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is saying nine Deposit Money Banks, DMBs, are to pay a N1.35 billion fine for failing to adequately load their Automated Teller Machines, ATMs, during the yuletide.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) which slammed the sanction, said each of the banks would pay N150 million as fine for non-compliance with the regulator’s cash distribution guidelines, following spot checks conducted at their branches.
The sanctioned banks are: Fidelity Bank Plc, First Bank Plc, Keystone Bank Plc, Union Bank Plc, Providus Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, Globus Bank Plc, Sterling Bank Plc, and United Bank for Africa Plc.
