The Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Health Programme has distributed 10,000 professional kits to midwives across the South-South region.
The benefactor states includes; Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Edo, and Cross River.
The initiative, aimed at enhancing maternal and child health, seeks to equip midwives with essential tools to improve service delivery, reduce maternal mortality rates, and promote safer childbirth practices.
Speaking at the distribution event on Tuesday, representatives of the RHI emphasized the crucial role of midwives in primary healthcare and reiterated the programme’s commitment to improving maternal health outcomes across Nigeria.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will boost efficiency and ensure better care for expectant mothers.
The Renewed Hope Initiative was launched to support health, education, and empowerment programs.
