A new political force is emerging from both within and beyond Nigeria’s borders, determined to bring real change to Imo State .The group, known as Imo Progressive for Change 2027, is made up of concerned citizens—both at home and in the diaspora—who have united with a clear purpose: to rescue Imo State from stagnation and set it on a path of justice, security, and sustainable development.

Formed out of a deep dissatisfaction with the current state of insecurity and increasing poverty rate , Imo Progressive for Change 2027 is not just another political organisation.

It is a movement driven by passion, unity, and a shared desire for good leadership. The group is actively working to support Hon.Chief Charles Orie to be the next Governor of Imo State. He is percieved to be a grassroot politician who understands and Connects deeply with the people.

“Our mission is simple,” said one of the group’s founding members. “We want a leader who understands the heartbeat of the people, someone who will listen to their cry and act on it—not just during elections, but every day in office.”

A key concern among members, especially those in the diaspora, is the alarming insecurity in Imo State. For many Imolites living abroad, returning home has become a difficult decision, with worries about safety, kidnappings, and unrest. As a result, development efforts and investments that could uplift local communities have slowed.

“We are eager to come back, to contribute, to build,” said a member based in the UK. “But we need a safe environment first. Without peace, there can be no progress.”

Imo Progressive for Change 2027 believes that meaningful development starts with security, followed by youth empowerment, quality education, economic growth, and transparency in governance. The group is committed to fostering a political environment where integrity, service, and accountability become the new standard.

What makes this movement different is its inclusiveness. Members come from all walks of life—business leaders, students, professionals, activists, and elders—united by a common goal: to give Imo State a future worth fighting for. They are also leveraging the strength and resources of the diaspora to support grassroots mobilization and civic education.

With the 2027 elections on the horizon, Imo Progressive for Change is preparing to play a major role in shaping the political direction of the state. Their message is clear: the people are ready for change, and the time is now.

“We believe in a better Imo. We believe in a better Nigeria. And we will not stop until we see it,” the group declared.

As more people join the cause, Imo Progressive for Change 2027 is quickly becoming a symbol of hope and a rallying point for all who believe that Imo can rise again—stronger, safer, and more united than ever before. Long Live the Imolite! Long Live Nigeria!!!
