The Portugal Captain struck twice against Armenia, taking his tally to 140 goals in 222 caps. That is at least 26 more than any other men’s player has ever managed.
Ronaldo scoring runs shows no sign of slowing down. He has now found the net 10 times in his last 10 competitive matches for Portugal including goals in each of his last four outings.
His recent streak features decisive strikes against Denmark, Germany, Spain, and a brace against Armenia, underlining his ability to deliver in the biggest games.
Alongside his international exploits, the Portuguese legend’s overall tally stands at 942 career goals and counting. The astonishing margin, further cementing his place as the most prolific goalscorer in football history.bringing him ever closer to the one-unthinkable milestone of 1000.
His brace on Saturday also took him up to 38 goals in World Cup qualifiers, two clear of Lionel Messi and only one behind all-time leader, Carlos Ruiz of Guatemala.
The soccer great has recently signed a new contract with Saudi Arabian club – Al-Nassr and lead Portugal to victory at UEFA Nations League last summer.
The World Cup is one major trophy that elude him – leaving him behind his great rival Messi, who lifted soccer’s biggest prize with Argentina in 2022.
Ronaldo, a five-time Champion League winner also lifted the European Championship trophy with his country.
