IMO: Government has issued several public warnings against ailing police officers whose specialty lies on searching of people’s phone.
The Inspector General IGP of police has warned several times against Police officers who indulge in searching of people’s phone while on transit but repeatedly such corrupt officers are still banking in such criminal act against the public.
Inline with the IGP’s order to stop such criminality reigning in the police force across the states of the Federation, CP Aboki Danjuma also issued public warning against such unethical act in Imo State to check corruption in the state.
As the festive season sets-in therefore, the public are charged to report any police officer (s) seen or spotted searching people’s phone in any manner to the relevant Police personnel phone numbers in this publication.
Meanwhile, IMO State Police command have arrested some police officers involved in searching of people’s phone on tip off information.
In a post made by the SSA electronic/creative media to IMSG, Ambrose Nwogwugwu , ” I can confirm that all the officers involved in this shameful act of criminality at 7½ Obowo have been identified by the Imo State Police Command, arrested, and are now in custody for orderly trials.
“Please continue to report these anomalies, and rest assured that actions will be taken.
“The People’s governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma has vowed that no form of criminality shall be tolerated anywhere in the state, no matter how highly placed those involved may be.
