Kano State Government has assured residents that the long standing “Two Emirs” disputes is nearing a peaceful end through high-level talks and respect for rule of law.
The Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Waiya revealed this during an interaction with journalists on Thursday January 29 in Kano.
He reassured the people of the state that comprehensive strategies have already been implemented to restore sustainable peace and stability across the state.

Waiya noted that the government remains fully committed to consultations with critical stakeholders, emphasizing that it will not allow the emirate matter to continue fueling unrest or obstructing effective governance.
He added that the government’s actions are anchored on strict adherence to the rule of law, respect for the traditional institution, and the overall interest and unity of Kano State residents.
