Former Adamawa State Governor, Umar Jibrilla Bindow, has met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, days after resigning from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The meeting reportedly took place late Monday night, but details of the discussions between Bindow and the President have not been disclosed.
Bindow officially resigned his membership of the ADC on August 1, 2026.
The former governor had conveyed his decision to leave the party in a resignation letter dated July 15 and addressed to the ADC Ward Chairman in Lokuwa Ward, Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Bindow governed Adamawa State from 2015 to 2019.
His visit to Tinubu comes amid increasing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
However, there has been no official statement on the purpose of the meeting or whether Bindow intends to join another political party.
