The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement has unveiled a 59-member presidential campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The council comprises coordinators from Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory.
It also includes directors overseeing mobilisation, women’s affairs, strategy, security, legal affairs, administration and other departments.
The movement’s Director-General, John Ughulu, will serve as Director-General of the campaign.
National Secretary Saadatu Sani is also part of the campaign leadership.
In a message to the council members, Sani described their appointments as a call to duty, sacrifice, leadership and service to Nigeria.
She charged them with taking the message and political vision of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso to voters across the country.
Sani said the campaign would focus on reaching Nigerians at the grassroots, from cities and states to local governments, wards and communities.
She added that the movement would prioritise grassroots mobilisation and promote what it described as a broader national vision rather than individual interests.
The zonal coordinators include Suleiman Abubakar for North-Central and Hashimu Dungurawa for North-West.
Others are Amadu Gwambe for North-East, Adebayo Adefolaseye for South-West, Christopher Ighodaro for South-South and El-Shaddai Ikeh for South-East.
The council also includes coordinators for all 36 states and the FCT, as well as directors for various departments.
The unveiling comes as the movement intensifies its preparations for the 2027 elections.
It also follows the movement’s recent condemnation of the reported disruption of Obi’s convoy during his visit to Benue State.
